Flood and wet perils restoration

Stockton Campus - Durham University
Wednesday, 26 October 2016
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm (UK time)

by Mike Bond, Associate Director of VRS Vericlaim UK Ltd

Mike Bond is a professional loss adjuster and has been dealing with claims most of his insurance career. Other than six years in the Middle East (when he missed the floods) he has been involved on the ground in just about every weather surge since North Wales flooded in 1991.

The UK insurance regime for flood is currently in a period of flux and with more claims being raised insurers are increasingly looking at ways in which flood claims can be handled and mitigated.

This event will tackle how the water damage caused by floods can be restored and will be of interest to underwriters, claims handlers and brokers.

This seminar is suitable for anyone who works in general insurance with a property element in their role.

Learning objectives: At the end of this event, delegates will be able to identify:

◾how flood re works

◾insurer flood mapping

◾some of the options available to insurance companies dealing with flood and wet perils claims
