Percey Hedley Foundation

The Insurance Institute of Newcastle-upon-Tyne supports the Insurance Charities which gives vital financial and practical support to past and present employees of the insurance industry, and their dependent relatives, who are suffering financial hardship. In addition, every year we choose a second charity to support, which for 2016 – 2017 is The Percy Hedley Foundation (Registered Charity Number 515943). The Percy Hedley Foundation is a charity that makes a positive difference to the lives of over 1,000 disabled children, young people, adults and their families from all parts of the north east and beyond. It is committed to delivering excellent and personalised services. The charity provides a range of specialist education services alongside a wide variety of day services for adults. These are augmented by a sports academy, an employability service and residential services for children, young people and adults.
