The Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department, also known as IFED, is a specialist police unit dedicated to tackling insurance fraud and is committed to addressing high volume and organised criminality in collaboration with their criminal justice partners.
This CPD event will include a presentation about the IFED by a senior police officer, including examples, case studies and a Q&A session.

• How the Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department operates
• Key priority areas and referrals
• IFED investigations and prosecutions
Detective Sergeant Richard Maynard is an experienced fraud detective who has been in the post since January 2016. His role in the Insurance Fraud Investigation Department is to oversee the initial referral process and evidence building of cases prior to allocation to investigating officers.
