Practical Workshop- Supervisor Training
This one-day course is designed for anyone planning to be a supervisor or who is already supervising a team. We will look at current regulatory issues and FCA requirements and examine how you can ensure that your supervision style gets the best out of the people you supervise whilst also maintaining robust T&C records.
NO parking is available
The Regent Centre Metro Station is a 5-minute walk away where there is also a car park at a cost of £1 a day. There is also payable on street parking around the area.
The cost is £50.00 per person and lunch is provided.
The trainer is Adam Owen, a Director of NextGen Planners Ltd. All content qualifies as structured and accredited CPD.
In addition to his role as a Director of NextGen Planners Ltd, Adam is a CII, PFS and NSAFS accredited trainer and Vice President of the Personal Finance Society. Adam designs and delivers professional development programmes for some of the UK’s most progressive financial services companies.
As the Chairman of three Trailblazer Apprenticeship development projects he has taken a keen interest in developing careers within the financial services sector and encouraging new entrants to the profession. Coupled with this, he works directly with schools, colleges and universities through programmes like the Career Ready Programme to help students plan their careers and enter the jobs market.
The content of the day is as follows:
Morning Session:
- The regulatory background and T&C rules,
- The role of a supervisor and the structure of supervision,
- The role of effective communication in supervision.
Afternoon Session:
- Managing a 1:1 effectively,
- Preparing and completing role plays and observations,
- The coaching and counselling techniques needed to supervise effectively.
