Practical Soft Skills Workshop- Masterclass

This one-day course focuses on the tiny details that make the difference between good client relationships and great client relationships. During the day you will learn what your communication style says about you and how you can adapt the way that you communicate to instantly build rapport with those around you.

NO parking is available

The Regent Centre Metro Station is a 5-minute walk away where there is also a car park at a cost of £1 a day. There is also payable on street parking around the area.

The cost is £50.00 per person and lunch is provided.

The trainer is Adam Owen, a Director of NextGen Planners Ltd. All content qualifies as structured and accredited CPD.

In addition to his role as a Director of NextGen Planners Ltd, Adam is a CII, PFS and NSAFS accredited trainer and President of the Personal Finance Society. Adam designs and delivers professional development programmes for some of the UK’s most progressive financial services companies.

As the Chairman of three Trailblazer Apprenticeship development projects he has taken a keen interest in developing careers within the financial services sector and encouraging new entrants to the profession. Coupled with this, he works directly with schools, colleges and universities through programmes like the Career Ready Programme to help students plan their careers and enter the jobs market.

Prior to each course, Learning Outcomes and Delegate Packs will be issued.

The content of the day is as follows:

Morning Session:

  1. Your preferred communication style and how you appear to the people around you,
  2. What your written communication style says about you and how it can be interpreted by others,
  3. How to make an immediate good impression when networking and how to turn an initial meeting into a long-term business relationship,

Afternoon Session:

  1. What we can learn from behavioural science,
  2. What your non-verbal communication says or doesn’t say about you,
  3. How mindful communication can help you to influence others positively.
