Compassion fatigue: the silent but very serious risk to people working in insurance and financial services

Wednesday, 14 May 2025
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm (UK time)
    • Jeff Heasman, Founder, Insurance Upskill

In insurance and financial services, we are so often called upon to demonstrate high levels of compassion in a whole range of different scenarios. If not dealt with properly, this can lead to fatigue that is bad for our mental and physical health and which in turn begins to significantly impact our performance and at worst lead to burnout.

In this webinar, we will examine how compassion fatigue can manifest itself and then learn a strategy to ensure that we and our colleagues do not become a victim to this silent, but very serious, risk to our health.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
➢ identify what is meant by compassion fatigue.
➢ recognise how compassion fatigue can manifest itself and the risks it poses.
➢ implement a strategy to mitigate the risks of compassion fatigue impacting ourselves and our colleagues.
