How to Succeed With Your Inner Critic - Part 1: Your Concept of Success
This is a four-part, interactive programme of 1 x hour sessions. It’s designed to help members of the CII develop their self-confidence, increase their motivation and build resilience so that they are in an even stronger position to deliver on the CII’s promise of trust, professionalism and standards.
Drawing on cutting edge research, the programme is both thought provoking and practical and has received great feedback from participants.
Why is this important?
The UK’s picture of mental health is alarming. Stress and anxiety are at record levels.
This can impact performance and productivity. Therefore, programmes which support mental health and wellbeing at work are now more important than ever.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:

Discern the difference between extrinsic and intrinsic motivation

Identify what’s important to you and the goals you are motivated by

Recognise why beating yourself up doesn’t work as a long-term motivation strategy

Critique some myths about how self esteem is built

Examine why many of us are people pleasers and perfectionists
BIO
Melissa Kidd is the Director of Motem Ltd, which specialises in helping insurance professionals to communicate more effectively. She has worked with the CII since 2012 as well as range of clients including Allianz, Zurich, BIBA, NIG and Lycetts. Her background is in psychology, coaching and marketing. She is a master NLP practitioner and her coaching qualification has been accredited by the International Coaching Federation.
Up to 100 participants can join these sessions, each member is to sign up for all 4 sessions. The sessions will be recorded so if you are unable to make all of the sessions a recording will be sent.
