AGM
The Northampton Insurance Institute annual General Meeting takes place on Wednesday April 17th at 6.00pm.
Kingsthorpe Golf Club, Kingsley Road, Northampton, NN2 7BU.
This is then followed by a General Knowledge Quiz. Arrive at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.

Breakfast Lecture: The Salisbury Novichok Poisoning Case

Event Overview
This session will consider the various ways in which business interruption policies may (or may not) have been able to respond to the challenges faced by businesses in Salisbury following the Novichok contamination in March 2018 and more recently elsewhere.
What will be covered
Issues to be addressed include:
· Damage at the premises
· Non damage denial of access
· Denial of access
· Loss of attraction
Key differences between policy wordings will be identified.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the presentation those attending will have a greater appreciation as to the different Business Interruption covers that could assist a policyholder whose business operations are affected in circumstances such as those that affected Salisbury.
About the Speaker
The session will be delivered by Damian Glynn.
Damian is a Director of and Head of Financial Risks at Sedgwick.
Damian chairs the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA) Business Interruption group and has previously set business interruption examinations for the CILA.
Damian regularly runs financial loss seminars throughout the UK and is a published author about business interruption, including co-chairing a widely read report on BI wordings issued by CILA and the IIL/CII (Chartered Insurance Institute).

Council Meetings
These take place monthly (excluding August) at the Marriott Hotel, Eagle Drive, Northampton, starting at 18.00pm.
The Council is comprised of a diverse group of people and new attendees are always welcome. Please come and see what is done and add your views to how Your Institute is organised.
The next meeting following the AGM is the 15th May 2019.
