Lunchtime Lecture : Post Loss Pitfalls of BI Cover
Event Details
Chris is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Fellow of the Institute of Loss Adjusters. He has worked as a loss adjuster since 1984 and currently is a senior adjuster within the Crawford Major & Complex Loss Team. In this capacity Chris has been involved in the adjustment of numerous claims acting as team leader working alongside specialists and experts so as to determine policy response unique to each individual loss.
Chris will draw on this experience in presentation designed to assist those in organising business interruption cover so that should a loss occur the policy can deliver on expectation. The session will also be of general interest to anyone within the insurance industry who comes across PD and BI insurance be it through underwriting, broking or claims handling.
Chris will draw on his experience of loss adjusting to discuss why business interruption policies do not always meet the expectation of policy holders when put to the ultimate test after a loss has occurred.
Examples will be given to highlight the reasons as to why business interruption cover could fall short of expectation including technical explanations as to how the policy operates post loss when it is most needed.
