Get to Know Your Council - February Release
Name: Claire Loveday
Occupation/Industry Experience:
21 years at Aviva (and prior to that, Norwich Union), working in Pensions, Life, and General Insurance with stints in the in-house legal team and in Risk and Compliance. Since 2013, I have worked at Mills & Reeve LLP, dealing with professional indemnity claims from a wide range of professions (including doctors, dentists, financial advisers and accountants).
How long have you been on the Insurance Institute of Norwich’s Council?
Since approximately March 2016.
What is your role, and what does it involve?
I am a member of the Council. Prior to that, I assisted with the social secretary role, and I also acted as Education Secretary.
Why did you decide to join the Council?
I’ve spent all of my working life in insurance. It was an ideal way to share working practices, and to continue developing with people who are also passionate about insurance.
What are you most looking forward in the forthcoming year on the Council?
It has been a challenging year for everyone, including the insurance industry. I am looking forward to seeing how the industry develops to deal with the changes which are required.
Tell us one unusual fact about yourself
I have been to see the Tour de France finish in Paris on two separate occasions, both of which were won by British competitors.
