Insurance Act
A discussion of the key provisions of the Insurance Act and how these impact on risks faced by brokers and insurers to be presented by Claire Loveday and Matthew Wilson.

- Identify any developments or changes to the law following the introduction of the Act
Matthew Wilson:
Matthew has over ten years’ experience in handling insurance claims against a wide variety of professions, including solicitors, financial advisors and surgeons. His work regularly involves claims against multiple defendants, dealing with technical and procedural issues, and pursuing contribution claims on behalf of insurers. He also advises insurers on coverage matters and recently assisted insurers in respect of a coverage matter valued in excess of £140million.
Claire Loveday:
Claire has over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry, covering both Life Insurance and General insurance, with a focus on pensions. She has worked in Risk and Compliance, advising on developments in the insurance arena, lobbying industry groups regarding proposed changes (including working with the Law Commission on both the Consumer Insurance (Disclosure and Representations) Act and the Insurance Act). Claire’s current work involves handling claims against a range of professions, including financial advisors, architects and surgeons.
