Annual Dinner 2023

Fri 20 Jan. 2023

2023 saw the return of our favourite night of the year, the Nottingham Insurance Institutes Annual Dinner and despite a 3 year break, it didn't disappoint. Our Dinner Secretary, Bronte James, did a fabulous job of organising the event for over 200 guests, as always the food was delicious and the wine was flowing nicely. We were delighted to be able to finally present our Exam & Qualification achievers for the 2020-21 & 2021-22 periods, with no less than 24 certificates presented on the night followed by 4 awards for best performance.

Alan Bridgeman

Tue 13 Dec. 2022

We are sad to announce the death of a long standing member of the Nottingham Insurance Institute, Alan Bridgeman on the 13th December. Alan was an integral part of the Nottingham Institute Council for many years, being President in 1980-1981 and in his retirement becoming our key exam invigilator every April and October. We were delighted to be able to present Alan with a Whiskey Gift Basket earlier in the year to celebrate his 90th Birthday, and in recognition of all his hard work for ourselves and all our members throughout the years. Alan was well respected in the Insurance Industry and will be sadly missed. A service will be held on the 10th January at Christ Church, Chilwell, at 12:15pm followed by the funeral at Bramcote Crematorium at 1:30 pm. I am sure you will join us in giving Alan's family our sincere condolences at this sad time and in raising a glass to celebrate the life of such a dedicated man.
