Defined Benefit Transfer Workshop - Afternoon session

Overview: This workshop is aimed at those with a specific interest in the process of Defined Benefit Transfer Advice and is intended to be fully interactive. Martin Clubbs, Pension Specialist at Old Mutual Wealth shall be in attendance to provide technical input, delegates are also encouraged to provide questions ahead of the event for discussion on the day.

This is great opportunity to discuss and understand the unusual situations that you encounter.

Sandwiches will be served from 12 with the session starting at 12.30 a.m.

Proposed learning objectives from the session are as follows:

  • Identifying the key factors when deciding to transfer a DB pension- the relevance of age?
  • Sustainability of CETVs - dealing with a CETV which has been reduced in value
  • Impact of DB transfers on the cost of PI insurance
  • Usefulness of TVAS reports in the advice process
  • Submit discussion topic by email to cath@redifa.co.uk

All cancellations must be received by email and you will receive confirmation of your cancellation. You may also nominate a replacement if you are unable to attend. By proceeding with the registration you agree to these terms and conditions.

The Nottingham Insurance Institute charges for non-attendance at all CPD events. If you do find that you are unable to attend, we ask that you give us at least 4 working days notice that you are no longer able to attend.

Please note, if you fail to let us know before this deadline, we will need to charge a £30.00 (inc. VAT) non-attendance fee to cover the cost of catering, booking arrangements and denial of your place to other members.
