General Data Protection Regulation – Key Issues and impacts
Following this session, delegates should have an understanding of:
- What is sensitive data and why the change is taking place
- Before and after comparison: Who has to report what by when and fines
- Practical issues to consider
- Retention of information
- Marketing and consent
- Right to be forgotten, right of access and right of rectification
- Reporting issues: PR; the negative effects, costs etc
A buffet lunch is available from 12.15 with the lecture starting at 1 p.m. for an hour.
PARKING – IMPORTANT INFO
• Parking is available (subject to availability) free of charge at the venue.
• The car park entrance is located on Chaucer Street – the gate on Goldsmith Street is EXIT ONLY (it is located below an arch and has an access barrier please just state you are there for this event)
• If you are parking at the venue, please plan your route carefully as there are traffic restrictions and priority lanes around the area which are subject to penalties and fines if breached
• When exiting the car park, turn left and then an immediate left onto Chaucer Street
• DO NOT DRIVE UP GOLDSMITH STREET AS THIS RESTRICTED TO BUSES ONLY WITH CAMERAS/FINES IN PLACE.

The Nottingham Insurance Institute charges for non-attendance at all CPD events. If you do find that you are unable to attend, we ask that you give us at least 4 working days notice that you are no longer able to attend.
Please note, if you fail to let us know before this deadline, we will need to charge a £30.00 (inc. VAT) non-attendance fee to cover the cost of catering, booking arrangements and denial of your place to other members.
All cancellations must be received by email and you will receive confirmation of your cancellation. You may also nominate a replacement if you are unable to attend. By proceeding with the registration you agree to these terms and conditions.
