Learning Objectives

By the end of the session delegates will be able to:

  • Appreciate some of the high level differences between certain investment wrappers, including:

      • The internal taxation

      • The availability to clients of certain income tax allowances

      • The tax planning opportunities presented by a portfolio of multiple tax wrappers within a client portfolio.

  • Be able to discuss and explain this subject with a client in a clear and concise way

  • Apply the knowledge to appropriate individual client scenarios

Barry Foster – Technical Sales Manager for Utmost Wealth Solutions

Qualifications: FPFS, IMC, TEP, Chartered Financial Planner

Barry has been in financial services since 1997 and held roles as a Financial Adviser and Business Development Manager before taking a more technical based route. Barry delivers workshops, seminars and technical assistance to Financial Advisers, covering tax, trusts and pensions.

Barry has achieved Chartered Financial Planner status and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, as well as holding the Investment Management Certificate and the STEP Diploma and STEP Certificate in Financial Services
