Operating in a hard market and negotiation skills

Hear from seasoned insurance professionals and get some tips and insights on how you can best serve your clients’ interests in a hard market.

This should be an informative and fun session involving a panel discussion, a negotiation skills game and an opportunity to get to know colleagues in the Nottingham insurance market over drinks and nibbles.

The panel discussion will cover:

  1. What differences are there between a soft market and a hard market, for insurers and brokers;
  2. What issues do insurers and brokers face in a hard market?
  3. Are we in a hard market now or not?
  4. Difficult conversations

For the negotiation skills game, attendees will be divided into small groups to take part in a fun interactive session.

A sandwich buffet and drinks will be provided after the session.

This session is aimed at Young (Under 35s) and Emerging Professional (5 years or less experience). However everyone is welcome to attend.
