Annual Member Awards 2024
We are delighted to share the launch of three awards, to be presented at our Annual Dinner on 20th September.
Perth & Dundee Young Achiever Award 2024, £500 winner, £250 runner-up:
John Cummings, Aviva's Group Chief Information Officer, has generously sponsored this award, demonstrating Aviva CIO's commitment to developing and recognising new, diverse talent in our industry. This award is open to any company to nominate their employee(s) - under the age of 35 years - who has achieved something of significance in the last year. We are looking for someone who has made the most positive contribution to the insurance profession or financial services in Perth & Dundee, 2023-2024. This can be through exam success or business related, for example customer care, technological innovation, claims settlement or business acquisition.
Perth & Dundee Shield Award for Exam Excellence, sponsored by Marsh Commercial Brokers:
Marsh Commercial are a global leader in insurance broking and risk management with a strong community focus-the dedicated team have been serving the Perth area since 1965. Working to the highest professional standards, this award aligns with their renown for technical expertise.
The award recognises a Perth & Dundee Institute member for exceptional exam marks received in the last year and relates to General Insurance and Financial Services. The winner is selected by Perth & Dundee Institute from the marks provided by the Chartered Insurance Institute.”
Perth & Dundee The President’s Cup, sponsored by Iolaire Financial:

The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) locally is served incredibly well by countless volunteers, CII members – people that you will know who play their part and give up their time be it at local institute level, national level or the wider industry. The award recognises those individuals who make a difference to their local institute by demonstrating outstanding dedication, making a significant contribution in areas such as training, development, the enhancement of professionalism and overall commitment to their local institute. The award is available to all CII members who have demonstrated a commitment to the CII, or PFS, at a local level.”
