Support for Local Children’s Charity
Local children’s charity, Perth Autism Support, was delighted to be the recipient of the proceeds of a raffle which took place at the Annual Dinner of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Perth and Dundee. The event which was held at the Salutation Hotel on Friday 15th September raised £678.
The charity, established in 2011 supports 620+ families throughout Perth & Kinross and provides services to 200 vulnerable children and young people diagnosed on the autism spectrum on a weekly basis.
Charity Chief Executive, Angie Ferguson said, “we are delighted to be the charity the Chartered Insurance Institute of Perth and Dundee decided to choose to receive this very generous donation, it is a great synergy between local businesses with Perth Autism Support being a local charity and the members knowing that any donation made to us is guaranteed to support children in Perth & Kinross, it is donations such as this that really help to keep our services viable for children and young people aged 3-19 years who are on the autism spectrum and who very often have no other condition specific support.”
Frank McGaffney said, “we, as a local institute are actively involved in charity work and having read about Perth Autism Support funding issues in the local press, were only too pleased to nominate PAS as one of our nominated charities this year”.
