The Insurance Institute of Perth & Dundee is happy to announce that their next CPD event will focus on GDPR.
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and has been designed to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the way organizations across the region approach data privacy.
Learning objectives:
By attending this event delegates will be able to identify:
• Have an understanding of the key concepts of data protection
• Know the data protection principles and how to apply them
• Be aware of the need for organisations to be accountable and how they can demonstrate their compliance
• Be aware of the rights individuals have over their personal data.
The event will be hosted by David Freeland, Senior Policy Officer, Information Commissioner’s Office.
