Fireworks - Spectacular to watch but if it goes wrong.....
The Insurance Institute of Perth and Dundee is delighted to announce that their next face to face CPD event will focus on the hazards and considerations for firework related incidents. Fireworks excite and enthrall, however, there are real risks of property damage and personal injury if fireworks are not correctly handled, or if they are poorly manufactured. This presentation will give a brief introduction to common types of fireworks and their construction. It will detail the common ways in which they can malfunction, either due to faulty items or mistakes by users. It will also provide details of the applicable legislation and available guidance for display operators and users. This is illustrated by case studies of actual incidents.
