AF4 Revision Course

  • Mon 18 Sep – Tue 19 Sep

When: Session 1 - Monday the 18th September 13:30 to 16:30 Session 2 - Tuesday the 19th September 13:30 to 16:30 Where: Online - Zoom Cost: £60.00 per person This AF4 Revision Course will take place over two afternoons and will provide revision tips for the AF4 module. In our experience, passing AF4 takes three ingredients: 1. Good exam technique – not missing out on marks you should get 2. Knowledge relevant to the case study at hand – at the right depth (and no more!) for a Level 6 exam 3. The ability to put the first two together on the day - for three hours, on every question – on a remotely invigilated computer! The two half-day sessions are designed to ensure you have all of these three ingredients and are therefore match-fit come the day of the exam on October 3rd. The gaps between sessions allow for consolidation and prep for the next session, a rest, plus you may have a business to run or other meetings. Session 1 on Monday the 18th of September 13:30 - 16:30 will focus on: • Providing an insight into the AF4 exam • Cash and calculators • Debt • Assessing returns Session 2 on Tuesday the 19th of September 13:30 - 16:30 will focus on: • Reviewing the work from session one • Products • Benchmarking • Suitability • Next steps to passing This revision session will be hosted by Steve Davies. Steve has a wealth of industry experience having worked in financial services since the late seventies. He served his apprenticeship as a broker consultant and in providing direct advice before moving into training. He has a passion for helping people and this comes across in everything he does. His training approach is unique and this is what makes the difference. He holds Fellowship of both the CII & PFS. He is an Accredited CII Trainer (Advanced Level) and Chartered Financial Planner. He served as a senior CII examiner for several years which gives him a huge insight into the whole exam process. He has over 1,000 exam credits with the CII and has designed and run training for the CII's AF exam question writing team. He is also a Pension Transfer specialist. Steve specialises in taxation, investment and planning.
