Update from IIPB President Joanne Bramley prior to the AGM
Hello! Hope everyone is keeping well and safe.
Just a very quick update from me ahead of the Insurance Institute of Preston & Blackpool’s Annual AGM on 22nd April 2021 where I look forward to the start of my second year as President.
With Easter upon us it will be summer before we know it and things are starting to look up on the covid-19 front. It has certainly been a very strange last 12 months but life is starting to get a little bit more back to normal slowly but surely.
I am pleased to say that the IIPB has hosted some great educational webinars over the last 12 months and we have lots more planned over the course of the next few months. Details of all our webinars are updated on the IIPB website and all members should receive flyer alerts with details of each webinar that the institute has arranged.
Although still quite some time away, it is with a heavy heart that the IIPB have made the decision to postpone the Ribby Hall Annual Dinner to October 2022. Although life is starting to get back to some sort of ‘norm’ we are still unsure where things will be at come October.
We are also still undecided on whether the Annual Christmas Lunch held at Preston’s Masonic Hall will take place. Further updates will follow on this in due course.
It would be great to see you all at the AGM on 22nd April.
Bye for now.
Joanne.
