You might never have thought about joining your local institute council, but there’s so much to discover and benefit from. Being on the council of your local institute is an opportunity to help the careers of others - both those new to the industry and those who are well established.

Why not use your experience to guide and help shape this offering, and your local profession, or help guide and encourage those starting out!

The closer you are to your local institute the more influential you will be. You can use your position to help shape the events and activities your local institute offers its members. You will also be contributing to the industry locally and helping to influence national policy and discussion.

There’s more to the CII than being a member and being on your local institute council increases the personal rewards of professionalism.

The more involved you become, the more it will benefit your career.

Council positions require little commitment but offer a surprisingly big benefit in local and national recognition.
