Legal update and practical tips for managing conflict
With ever more employment legislation being implemented, and all of the complexity and uncertainty around BREXIT to consider, Roger Spence (Director and Head of Employment at Harrison Drury & Co Solicitors) looks at some of the headline upcoming changes and the practical implications for SME employers in the North West.
This will be complemented by a discussion on conflict in the workplace by Helen Darbyshire (HR Advisor in the Employment Department at Harrison Drury & Co). Conflict comes in many forms, and can range from minor friction between colleagues to lack of trust between large groups within the organisation, but it is always destructive. In many cases early intervention can help, but what does that intervention look like? How do you start those difficult conversations? What practical steps can you take to minimise the impact on your organisation?
