This workshop is designed to empower you with techniques and strategies to massively improve the quality of your communications with your colleagues, clients and associates, relevant to the context of the insurance sector.

Learning Objectives will include:

  • A better understanding of how to build rapport
  • A better understanding of how mis-communications occur
  • Ways to improve active listening skills
  • Ways to build relationships with others so they feel understood
  • How to vary your speaking to be understood in different contexts

Afternoon Session - Tackling Insurance Fraud

The Evolving Nature of Fraud – hear about how the fraud landscape is changing and how insurers are responding to the changes in threat and types of fraudulent claims. With data analytics and intelligence playing more of a role, hear what’s being done at an industry level to combat the cheats.

  • How the industry is fighting back
  • Case studies to illustrate what’s going on out there
  • Data analytics, intelligence sharing and innovative tools

Scott Clayton - Head of Claims Fraud at Zurich

During over 30 years with Zurich, Scott has handled claims across all lines of business and all distribution channels and, in a previous role, headed up the Chief Executive’s Complaints Team. For the last 15 years, Scott has been responsible for managing and developing the claims fraud proposition across the General Business in the UK. With a team of over 50 and cutting edge tools and technology, the Claims Investigation Unit have achieved notable success and industry recognition. He chairs Zurich’s Global Fraud Network and is a member of the Association of British Insurers General Insurance Fraud Committee.
