Southampton Institute’s Golf Day in support of Insurance Charities

Meon Valley golf club was once again the venue for Southampton’s qualifier for the Insurance Charities national golf event, which takes place in September.

10 teams of 4 teed off in warm weather and found the course to be in excellent condition.

The top two individual scoring players, David Hayward and Dave Porter, qualify for the Southampton team for the finals. They will be joined by 2 further qualifiers from the Southampton Insurance Golf Society Captain’s Day event, making up the team of 4.

President Alan Kafoor attended the post match dinner and presented the individual and team prizes.

With charitable support being a joint objective alongside an enjoyable day, we are pleased to report that the sum of £352 was raised.
