Claims Case Studies: Product Liability, Fraudulent Claims & Recoveries
We welcome all members & guests to attend a seminar which will be presented by Alan Davies and Claire Collings of Pitmans Law. Their aim will be to take you through some interesting cases which they have been involved in including high value claims concerning defective white goods, fraudulent claims involving household insurance policies and property damage claims, including the widely reported incident involving the sink hole at St Albans. This will be an interesting talk with real case examples and a basic background to the law in each area being provided.
Alan has been qualified for over 30 years and specialises in acting for insurers, businesses, brokers and adjusters on a whole range of matters including product liability claims, property damage claims, insurance policy disputes and fraudulent claims. Alan has been appointed by Global Law Experts, an organisation that recommends just one legal expert in each key practice and country, as an exclusive expert in product liability. Alan is ranked in Legal 500 and has been recognised as a “product liability and insurance disputes expert”.
Claire has worked as a commercial dispute resolution lawyer for over 16 years advising on a whole range of disputes including product liability claims, subrogated property damage claims, fraudulent insurance claims, insurance litigation and property litigation. Claire is often complimented on her efficient and pragmatic approach to resolving disputes and has received recognition in the current Legal 500 an is described as being “meticulous in her approach to trial preparation”.
