RO4 (Pensions and Retirement Planning) Pre Exam Training, Tuesday 12th May 2020, Whiteley
The Hants and Dorset PFS Regional Committee in association with the Insurance Institutes of Bournemouth and Southampton have organised a training day for those members who are studying for and taking the RO4 examination.
The cost of the day’s training will be £40.78 for PFS members and £50.92 for non-PFS members. Your attendance will be confirmed once the member has paid the fee invoice. There is a maximum of 10 attendees. If we are oversubscribed, you will be placed on a waiting list.
The day will commence at 0930 sharp (please arrive at 0900) and finish by 1630.
The venue is the Zurich Centre, 3000 Parkway, Whiteley, Fareham, Hampshire, PO15 7JZ. Parking is limited and delegates will be notified in advance of the parking arrangements.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
The RO4 preparation day aims to increase your chances of passing the exam.
The day’s course will cover the following areas:
- The main tax and legal frameworks that govern retirement benefits under registered pension schemes;
- The features of defined contribution and defined benefit pensions;
- State retirement benefits available, including the risks and suitability of contracting out of the State Second Pension;
By the end of the course, delegates will have covered the key elements of the RO4 syllabus with the emphasis on the CII Learning Outcomes, will have been introduced to the exam format and adopting a suitable exam technique.
The course trainer is Giles Hewitt, a CII approved trainer, based in Cornwall who runs his own training consultancy, Hewitt Financial Training Ltd.
