We reserve the right to cancel this event should there be fewer than 6 delegates attending. Should this occur a full refund or transfer to an alternative course will be offered and some supporting material, at no extra cost, will be sent to the enrolled delegates.
The day will commence at 0930 sharp and finish by 1630, with breaks timetabled for lunch etc throughout the day.
The course is recorded and a copy is sent out to all delegates.
The RO6 preparation day aims to increase your chances of passing the exam.
This intensive workshop will work through the case studies that will be examined for the January 21st 2025 exam sitting.
The exam is based on a narrative fact find that will be issued approximately two weeks before the exam.
The exam tests your ability to give advice so will cover:
- what additional information you need to give advice
- what options are available that would enable the client to meet their objectives
- the advantages and disadvantages of the different options
- what you would recommend together with a justification
- an explanation of the product you have recommended
- what you would discuss at a future review
The workshop will work though the case studies as a group to identify the clients' objectives, the potential topic areas, how questions should be answered and to revise the technical points arising from these questions.
Overall objective
To significantly improve delegates’ chances of passing the exam by developing an analysis of the pre-exam case studies.
This will be a one-day event.
By the end of the event delegates will be able to:
- analyse and understand the information contained in case studies
- identify potential questions that could be asked in the exam
- identify the possible solutions to the identified objectives
- understand the technical points that are likely to be tested in the exam
- write answers to gain maximum marks
