Hygge Associates event - Disability Awareness
What comes to mind when you hear the word 'disability'? How would you define it? Do you know what is considered a disability by law and how to create inclusive workspaces free from discrimination and prejudice?
July is Disability Pride Month in the UK. Come and join this session to find out more. We will cover:
- Understanding what disability is - the different types and the different models of disability
- What the law says about disability and how this impacts workplaces
- Becoming more inclusive – best practices, the importance of language, and legal requirements to make workplaces disability-friendly
- Signposting to further sources of information
