Hygge Associates event - Menopause Awareness
For years, menopause has been a taboo topic, especially in the workplace. However, it is a natural phase that many women* will experience. Three out of four menopausal people will experience symptoms, with one in four having very problematic symptoms. Menopause can potentially impact everyone and should be a topic we all know about.
This session is suitable for anyone looking to improve their understanding of menopause, whether you are an employee, manager, or business owner, regardless of gender. With World Menopause Day just around the corner on 18th October, it’s the perfect time to find out more.
In this session, we will cover:
- What menopause is – what, why, when and who it can happen to, common signs and symptoms, and potential impacts
- Managing menopause, and how and where to get help
- Why menopause is a workplace issue – we’ll take a brief look at the business, legal, and moral cases for why this needs to be taken seriously by employers and colleagues
- Creating a menopause-friendly workplace
