Introduction to the Insurance Industry
This one-hour webinar will be ideal for staff who are new or fairly new to the insurance industry, for those studying IF1 or for those who just want to get a better understanding of our industry.
The webinar will be presented by Alan Chandler, one of the most popular speakers in the UK. Alan will, in his usual plain English style, go through what risks are covered by insurance and what risks are not. He will then explain the structure of the UK insurance industry including exploring the roles of brokers, underwriters and claims staff. The presentation will include the exploration of physical and moral hazards of risks and what underwriters look for when assessing a risk.
