Overview
The role of a broker is one; not only do they have to ensure that their client is supported but ensure that the underwriter is also supported. Technical knowledge and interpersonal skills are paramount to being a good broker.
This course is aimed to help you understand the key responsibilities that a broker has, and the legal implications imposed on them as an ‘agent’. The course will explore what a broker must do to negotiate, manage relationships and adhere to law and regulation.
Objectives
• Recognise the key considerations of a broker in their unique position
• Determine the differences between a broker’s principal and third party
• Identify why a broker must understand the client’s needs and provide suitable advice
