Criminal Minds - Cyber Security Principles

A “general” cyber security presentation on the main pillars of passwords and accounts, to back up , resilience etc.

Three parts – 1 hour session.

1. Education 10/15 mins - basic cyber security principles as mentioned above or current threats and trends we are seeing as reported crimes that get through.

2. The exercise 20 mins, we turn the audience into the criminal! And anonymously select from a controlled list who to attack, who and how they would do it. The exercise then look at how we could stop their suggested attacks with NCSC guidance.

3. The message 10-20 mins… with questions, can be anything on safeguarding vulnerable people to where does your data actually end up with going on the dark web during a live demo and seeing how much someone's personal info is worth.

Learning Objectives

1. education of the cyber landscape at the street level

2. how a criminal works and how they would hack your system

3. what happens to your data, how do criminals access and use it
