A new beginning and the end of an era

The 2015 AGM was notable for many changes, most significantly the change of name from Brighton to the Insurance Institute of Sussex.

However, it also marked the end of an era when IIB stalwart Alan Jenner chose to stand down after 31 years' loyal service to Council.

Outgoing President Graham Johnson took the opportunity to present Alan with a silver salver noting the occasion and thanked him for his many years of dedication throughout both memorable and difficult times (see picture below).

It is unlikely we shall see many similar examples of such long-term service, but we are pleased that Alan's historical knowledge will continue to be available as our archivist.
