EXAMPLES OF KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
We have listed below some examples of key performance indicators which individuals may be measured against. This is by no means exhaustive and other equally valid measures may be given:

  • the successful management of their career and development including proactively seeking opportunities to gain exposure to new areas and develop new skills
  • the successful delivery of a work based project which has made a significant contribution to the individual’s section/department or to the service provided to its customers
  • successful completion of an external qualification while working in a position of responsibility
  • significant progress within their organisation over a very short period
  • contribution to the wider insurance or financial services industry through supporting local or national CII activities, submitting articles to trade press or organising industry events
  • ability to motivate others through coaching, mentoring, acting as a positive role model or influencing others to achieve a successful outcome for the business or industry
  • the record of a particular achievement, perhaps as a result of extra-curricular activities e.g. charitable or community work

THE JUDGING PROCESS
