Insurance Broking Practice

The Insurance Institute of Sussex is hosting a number of revision workshops to help our student members and others who are working towards their core insurance and financial services exams.

On Tuesday 13 September, Janet Sherry will lead another full day revision workshop that will help prepare students for the examination and provide explanations and examples to assist them in completing the continuous assessment assignments. This workshop costs just £50 for members (£100 for non-members).

By the end of the day, delegates should be able to demonstrate an understanding of insurance broking practice including:

  • the key aspects of the regulatory and legal environment within which registered insurance brokers operate
  • the role of the insurance broker in:
    • meeting client needs
    • negotiating and placing insurance contracts
    • selecting insurers
    • claims negotiation, collection and the payment process
  • the range of service that may be available from insurance brokers and consultants and their benefits to clients

To reserve your place for this event, please click on the Book Now button below.

Useful Information.

Registration will take place at 9.00am so that the workshop can start promptly at 9.30am. Tea and coffee will be available on arrival and during breaks throughout the day. Please note that lunch is not provided, but a cafeteria is available on-site, or delegates can bring their own food if they prefer.
