Summer Guided Walk - Cissbury Ring - Iron and Magic
The Insurance Institute of Sussex invites all members and their guests to join us on a guided walk into the Sussex countryside on Wednesday 22 August 2018, meeting at 6.15pm for a prompt 6.30pm start.
Meeting at the car park in Storrington Rise, Findon Valley, this circular 90 minute walk is once again provided for us by Nick Richmond and will take us to Cissbury Ring, an ancient Iron Age hill fort with its legends of buried treasure, dragons and fairies.
During the evening, we will walk up to the Ring and find out its history and the pioneering work of the archaeologists who uncovered its secrets.
