The future of Mobility and the implications for insurance

Driverless cars have been making the headlines for some time now and we are moving ever closer to these being commonplace on our roads!

This new technology will undoubtedly have significant implications on everyone. To find out how the insurance industry is working with government and others in this important area, we are delighted to welcome David Williams, Technical Director at AXA Insurance to talk to us about this far reaching subject.

David is leading AXA's work on connected and autonomous vehicles and is involved in 5 government backed consortia as well as chairing the ABI's autonomous driving group (ADIG) . During this free one hour CPD event, David will look at the work being undertaken by these groups and discuss the wider work being carried out by Thatcham.

This seminar will also address the proposed Vehicle Technology and Aviation Bill and the wider implications of European restrictions and opportunities. David will also consider the potential impact on insurance risks and products in a future of connected and autonomous vehicles and speculate as to how quickly we will see these vehicles on UK roads - including the use of driverless commercial vehicles by the haulage industry.
