An Introduction to Parametric Insurance
Parametric insurance covers a policyholder against a specific event by paying a set amount based on the sum insured, rather than the losses incurred under a more traditional indemnity insurance policy.
Although not new, parametric insurance is being developed for SMEs and provides options for previously uninsurable risks, such as flood.
This introduction to parametric insurance is an excellent opportunity for attendees to develop their understanding of this type of cover, how it differs from other insurance solutions, and its potential.
