Annual Dinner 2018
It is with great pleasure that we announce that The Insurance Institute of Swansea and West Wales Annual Dinner will be held at the Marriott Hotel, Swansea on the 23rd November 2018.
Our Annual Dinner is always the highlight of the institute calendar, offering a fantastic evening of delicious food, fine wine and excellent networking.
The Institute's President, Malcolm Wallace, would be delighted if you and your guests could join us for this very special occasion.
The ticket price is £52 per person. This includes a delicious three course meal and entertainment from our President and respected after dinner speakers.
Seating is arranged in tables of 10 so you can buy a full table for you and your guests or a few tickets and we will seat you with like-minded diners.
As this is a black tie event, dinner jackets and ties should be worn by the gentlemen and evening dresses or cocktail dresses by the ladies.
The Rhossili Room Bar will open at 6.30pm and the call to Dinner will be at 7pm.
The menu will be:
STARTER - Cream of Vegetable Soup with Thyme croutons
MAIN COURSE - Chicken Supreme - Pancetta, leeks, roast shallots served with Cream potatoes, savoy cabbage, carrot, honey butter and parsley
Vegetarian option: Tagliatelle, Pecorino, sun-blushed tomato, basil (this option must be ordered in advance of the Dinner if required)
DESSERT - Blueberry Cheesecake with Blueberry coulis
There will be a charity raffle and silent auction during the evening, with proceeds going towards the President’s Charities which are Swansea Mind and Ysgol Pen-Y_Bryn. Last year we raised over £1,600 for local charities. During the evening we will be announcing the winner of the 2018 Young Achiever of the Year Award.
We always have a fine range of raffle prizes. If you would like to donate a raffle prize, please advise us when booking your tickets.
A special rate of £95 for a single room and £105 for a double/twin room, breakfast included, has been negotiated with the Marriott. The rooms should be booked directly with the hotel. Please indicate that you are attending the dinner when making your booking, to obtain the preferential rates. Their phone number is 01792 642020.
