6:00 pm – 7:00 pm (UK time)
    • Jan Holt, Head of Business Development, Just

The importance of financial planning to meet the cost of paying for Care has never been more relevant. However, there is a massive gap in providing this, and there is a huge opportunity for more financial planners to engage with this market. Although this can be a difficult and emotional area of financial services to deal with, it is a real need for many clients, and can help provide firms with many more opportunities for family and estate planning. There is a wealth of support for advisers who are looking to give advice in this area, both from providers and third parties. With some investment of your time, you could unlock the potential of a very profitable and rewarding opportunity.

Key learning outcomes:

• Describe the demographics and longevity issues giving rise to the social care crisis

• Outline the projected gap in funding for social care

• Appreciate the distinction between regulated care fees advice, and unregulated care advice

• Outline the different ways of paying for care

• Identify the role that financial services can play in alleviating the problems

• Evaluate the key business decisions to facilitate later life advice
