This one-day training programme is designed to equip financial planners with cutting-edge sales techniques that complement their marketing activity to help them stand out in a competitive market. The training will cover a range of innovative strategies, from leveraging virtual events to implementing client referral programs and consultative selling approaches.
The cost is £50.00 per person for members that fall within the Insurance Institute of Newcastle upon Tyne, £75 for other members from around the UK and £100 for Non-CII/PFS members.
The trainer is Adam Owen, a Director of NextGen Planners Ltd. All content qualifies as structured and accredited CPD.
Adam’s career in financial services is in its third decade and during this time he has held advisory roles within financial planning firms and a variety of senior compliance and supervision positions. He has been a board director and President of the Personal Finance Society and a CII Accredited Trainer. He currently has a portfolio of positions including executive and non-executive roles focusing on developing careers in the profession, and supporting the strategic direction of businesses within financial planning. This sits alongside his work internationally creating communities that amplify the work of the financial planning profession.
Prior to each course, Delegate Packs will be issued.
The Learning Outcomes are as follows:
- Understand the importance of creating a client referral program: Participants will learn how to develop and implement a client referral program that incentivises existing clients to refer new prospects.
- Understand how to host and utilise virtual events and webinars that convert: This outcome will focus on the benefits and logistics of hosting virtual events and webinars to educate potential clients, showcase expertise, and build trust and relationships in a virtual environment.
- Understand the consultative selling approach: Participants will be trained on the consultative selling approach, which involves understanding clients' needs and providing tailored solutions, thereby building stronger client relationships and increasing sales effectiveness.
- Understand the principles of influence and how to apply them in sales: Participants will explore Dr. Robert Cialdini's principles of influence, learning how to ethically apply these principles to persuade clients effectively, build trust, and increase conversion rates.
